At Annie Glidden commodities, we want our customers to know where the raw cashew nuts are coming from. Our goal is to provide traceable cashew nuts to our customers so they can appreciate knowing the origins of the cashews.

We are actively involved in every level of the supply chain until it gets to our factory. Because we source directly from the farmers and farmer cooperatives, it helps us develop transparent sourcing networks with full traceability to the farms. Another important factor of sourcing directly from the farmers and their communities is getting to have personal relationships with them and having an opportunity to discuss difficult but relevant topics such as eliminating child labor and burning practices.

Buying from our company genuinely makes a difference to the farmers and their families so they can reinvest back in their farms. Our guarantee is that when customers buy their cashews from us, they support a supply chain where farmers earn more, communities are supported and the environment is protected, from the farm to our factory.

The raw cashew we source are marked with a batch number that represents what region the raw cashew nuts are coming from. Each batch consists of trucks ranging from 25 to 30 MT. One batch contains a combination of raw nuts from multiple farmers in a particular area of raw cashew procurement. This way, a batch number can be traced to the area of origin and directly to the farm.

Our factory is about 75KM from Ogbomosho where the best quality raw cashew nuts are grown in West Africa. Due to this proximity, we are environmentally conscious and our carbon impact is significantly less than processors in Asia.
