Annie Glidden Commodities is a agricultural trading company based in Chicago, USA. We also operate trading offices out of 3 West African countries (Nigeria, Ghana and Benin). We source our agricultural commodities from these countries and supply to companies worldwide. After 6 years of trading and exporting raw commodities out of West Africa, we put a plan in motion to add value to the various agricultural commodities. It was a easy decision to start with raw cashew nuts because of the comparative advantage of processing it in West Africa where they are grown. By processing the raw cashew nuts where they are produced, we have a competitive advantage with quality, pricing, shipment, carbon footprint and traceability.

Our modern state of the art processing factory is located in Kwara state, Nigeria and has the capacity to process 5000MT of raw cashew nuts annually.

With due diligence, we have established relationships with farmers and cooperatives in West Africa and source our raw cashew nuts directly from them. With our method of sourcing, the farmers sell directly to our processing factory which has a positive effect on their livelihoods because they generate more income for themselves. We shorten the supply chain by cutting out unscrupulous middle men who often take advantage of the farmers lack of access to reliable information such as farm gate prices and understanding of the market dynamics. We are committed to working directly with the farmers to support the production of raw cashew from farms that are environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable.
